delightfully tacky

dress - self made
oxfords - new yorker

boy, am i proud of myself today
i took these outfit photos myself
of one very special lady
..
nikola is away, my brother (another nikola) is away
and i don't feel comfortable if someone else is behind the camera
so i've spent hour or two yesterday
trying to take indoor pics.. but every single one of them was crappy
..
never even considered going outside, with my tripod
i get really awkward when people are around me while we are taking pics
and it's hard to find isolated place in the city
but then i read that post
and decided i should try harder
..
there were peeps around, but  not too close
it felt awkward, but  not as much as i expected
i even was more relaxed than i usually am
it's like a whole new world opened up to me
..

  3. Lovely dress! Man, I wish I had the courage to lug my tripod out into the open air. I even feel awkward just posing in my doorway in case someone walks by on the sidewalk out front. I loved that post by Delightfully Tacky -- I really need to step my photo game up and just find a nice isolated wooded area where I can comfortably snap photos. Somehow...

  4. Fabulous refashion and gorgeous photos. Thanks for that link. You've got great light to play with which is what I'm short of right now. But I'm really inspired by your shots and as soon as spring comes I'm off... like a dirty shirt! 8-)

  7. I am terrified of taking photos in public, in fact I always shoot at my parents', where nobody is around. I already wrote it at Burdastyle, but the light in these photos is so beautiful! Did you shoot at sunset?

    1. yup, i waited for the last hour of daylight, and the camera is turned to the sun (not directly to the sun, but just slightly off).. you are so lucky to have beautiful isolated locations for your photo shoots :)
