dress - burda magazine 06/2015, #123
i had a wedding to attend few weeks ago
and had big plans for the dress for event
but in the end, because of work,
i had only few hours to sew a dress
so i chose this simple burda pattern instead
and then made it even more simple by making it in jersey
..
didn't even managed to finish the dress
as i had to catch a train and go back to excavations
so i left it in the studio, and tea hemmed it for me (thanks, tea!)*
..
don't let the pics fool you
it's not a dark gray dress, but proper black one
and doesn't actually look like this wrinkly mess
but i guess black is a hard color to photograph
..
*we share a sewing studio from march
and we spend crazy amount of time there
sewing, chatting, getting wasted, eating sweets
and even brewing our very own beer..
sewing is even more fun when you have a sewing soulmate!

i simply adore this dress! and am swooning over you and tea and your sewing studio. how lovely!
ReplyDeleteglad you like the dress.. it's super comfy, that's what i love about it.. it's great to have a studio (would be even more great if we put some effort to make it look organized, at the moment it's like a bomb exploded inside of it)
Deletehaha yep, that's what my apartment looks like most of the time sadly! i've kinda come to accept it, as i sit on the floor cutting pattern pieces and picking fluff from them! :)
DeleteE zato služe drugarice! Haljina je odlično ispala. :)
ReplyDelete:) daaa.. hvala
DeleteGreat dress! Classic and edgy in equal measure. And that print on your kimono is amazing.
ReplyDeletethanks.. yeah, that print is the best, i wish the fabric isn't sold out
DeleteThe kimono fabric is beautiful. I like the dress too- simple and classy, but with a touch of edge from the open back. And as always, you look lovely!
ReplyDeletethanks, claire.. simple is best sometimes i think
