some time ago i made a mini swimwear collection,
and then went to spend a month on excavations
and totally forgot about it
(once you're in a hole, hanging out with skeletons,
fashion kind of slips your mind)
..
so.. here is the collection, modelled by my two lovely friends..
i used modified pattern from burda magazine from the '70s
(don't remember the exact issue
but will look it up if anyone cares to know)
..

waoooo! love it! if you can tell the pattern i would be happy, it is my dream swimwear!
ReplyDeleteglad that you like it.. pattern is #9101, burda magazine 07/1979 (comes only in size 36)
DeleteI absolutely love this pattern and your fabric choices. They look great.
DeleteDo you know where I could find a copy of the pattern? I'm trying to find it online but no luck yet... 😟
Thanksxx
yup, it's a great pattern, i've made it some many times, and it looks good on so many different body shapes.. don't think you'll be able to find it online though.. i found my copy of the magazine at the flea market, and that's the only one i evre saw in my life.. sorry, i know that's not really helpful
DeleteWhy I am not one of your friends???

DeleteAgree with all of the above! I never wear one-piece, but I would change my mind with this one. Love it! (Next time you need a model, give me a shout!)
ReplyDeleteyeah, it's almost like a two piece, that's what i like about it (and still looks nice, not like some of those trashy monokinis i've been seeing).. would love to have you as one of my models :)
Deleteokay, the smiling booty is pretty much the best print placement in the history of the universe. i love your collection!!!
ReplyDeletethanks, sis.. i wanted to play with that print placement a bit, and smiling booty sounded like a good idea, glad that you like it :)
DeleteThese are all so gorgeous! I absolute adore the green one :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous swimsuits! I'm digging the cut out one piece style.
ReplyDeleteMokosha, your swimwear collection came out amazing! I love the prints you chose! The modified '70s Burda pattern adds a personalized touch. And I have to say, your friends modeling the pieces gave the collection fantastic vibe. I'm inspired to dig into some vintage clothing patterns now!
