fall cyborg

dress - self made
heels - borrowed

to my brain
this print looked like what i imagine
cyborg would look like with skin removed
(as opposed to skinless human
when you get to see all the muscles and fat and stuff
and i'm yet to find a fabric with that kind of print)
..
dunno what the print is supposed to represent
and, frankly, don't care
to me - it's cyborg!
and i had to make myself a cyborg dress
..
and then i killed the whole cyborg vibe
with that autumnal photo shoot
and nature and colorful leaves and shit..
got seduced by autumn, in a way
(we actually may end up being besties, autumn and i)
..
in other news:
made my first ever french baguette
(well, i made four of them actually)
of those fancy artisan kind
when you spend two days working on it..
but it was worth every minute:

    1. thanks, faye.. nope, it's some sort of printed denim, quite heavy cotton fabric, with some stretch to it.. not really the best choice for this dress, though.. but i love it anyways

  7. Nice dress! It's funny, last night I was thinking about remaking this pattern in something more structured than last time (I used very lightweight silk last time), i'll make sure not to got too structured!!

    1. you can totally make it in fabric as structured as this one is, the reason i'm not totally satisfied with how this one turned out is wrong bodice size: i cut my usual 38, but i should have go tor 36.. so, the bodice part ended up being a bit loose on me, and with this fabric it really shows.. but, you've made the dress from this pattern already, so i believe fit won't be an issue :)
