  2. Redheads should wear electric blue ALWAYS. I gasped when I saw the back. So. Freaking. Gorgeous. Self-drafted?

    1. thanks.. low back line is the reason i loved this pattern so much.. nope, i can't wear a bra, but it's not a big deal for a flat chested gal like me :)

  10. I am now so much more convinced about that dress. It didnt work for me with the flouncy sleeves attached to the straps. This is far more chic. Gorgeous fabric too :-)

  11. It looks really great on you. A good friend of mine has requested this dress for her brother's wedding, so if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions about the construction? I also have the same alterations you made in mind (i.e. sleeveless, circle skirt). Did you use boning in the bodice like the pattern suggests? My friend is also blessed with tiny boobettes, so I was wondering which would be better - boning or sewn-in bra cups. And did you find that you had to alter the waist line? I've seen some versions where the bodice and skirt meet just below the natural waist, and I don't like that very much. Yours seems to fit perfectly at the natural waist. My friend is slightly taller than the petite pattern requires (168 cm), so perhaps I won't need to fiddle with the waist line at all.

And by the way, I must confess that I absolutely adore your blog and your style, and have been stalking you with much enthusiasm for more than a year now! (*blush*)

    1. :) thanks for the lovely words, sofia.. well, i skipped the boning (never actually read the instructions, i didn't even know i was supposed to use it, until now hehe), i also skipped sew-in bra cups, as i don't really like wearing bras.. but, if your friend wont be comfortable with that, i guess sew-in bra cups are better solution (for her, because boning isn't comfy, and she might want to dance a lot, and for you, because boning can be a pain in the ass to sew).. i'm 168cm too, and burda size 38 (or equivalent 19 for petite patterns) usually fits me like it's drafted for my body, so i did not have to change a thing.. happy sewing! looking forward to see the finished dress :)
