meet mother owl
isn't she something?
bad tempered but beautiful lady
..
there is only one baby owl left
the other one fell to the ground yesterday
..
this little fella is alone now
from his perspective
that might be a good thing
..more food for him
..
from my perspective
that's rather crappy
..
and there is neighbor's cat
spending entire day under the owl's tree
so it might get even more crappy
..
mokosha
what a cutie!!!! too bad about the mother :( Hope the little owl survives!!!
ReplyDeleteadorable little thing.. and adventurous one too, i bet he is going to make it :)
DeleteThe cruel laws of nature... Growing up in the countryside, I had learn these things as a child. Poor little owl. I've never seen one so close, you're pretty lucky! :)
ReplyDeleteyup, i know the laws, but it still gets me every time.. there were four baby owls at the beginning, two of them died even before i found out that they live near by (my landlord told me he found and buried them).. fingers crossed that this owlet is going to make it
Deletewow mokosha, what amazing shots. it looks like you live in the trees with them. i feel bad about little guy #2, but maybe he'll come back as a cat...
ReplyDeletehehe thanks.. i actually live some 3 meters away (ok, there is also a wall between us).. but, they look so close 'cause i used my boss's zoom lens (and i might steal that one)
DeleteLove your pics & stories so much. You´ve got a way to tell them that gets me every time
