jumpsuit season

jumpsuit - self made

bought a jumpsuit last year
at a flea market
and wore the hell out of it
it was my go-to outfit entire summer
..
but it got a bit too big for me now
and instead of altering it to fit
i made a brand new one
and i really like the way it turned out
(and have few more jumpsuits on my mind
in different fabrics and patterns and shapes and lengths)
..
ok.. i admit that jumpsuits are slightly annoying
because you have to strip down every time you need to use a bathroom
but besides that, i'm crazy about jumpsuits
they are like cute little dresses
but you can bend down or squat
without flashing everyone around you
..
what do you think:
you approve? or i look like a giant baby?

  1. I HEARTILY APPROVE!!! you look delicious.

i think going to dance class in leotards as a kid stripped away the fear of the bathroom strip down. i wonder if you could put an invisible zip in the crotch curve.....

    1. thanks, sis!
i don't mind all that strippin' on a regular day.. but the other night we were out with some friends, watching football and drinking lots of beer.. that was not a good combination, it was just way to much strippin.. but that won't stop me from making and wearing more jumpsuits.. also - zip idea - sounds so crazy and cool at the same time, i might give it a try!

  2. This is perfect! I love it. Is it the Salme one? I tried to make one last year in green linen....what was I thinking, I looked like I was scrubbing up for surgery. I love yours. The print makes it!

  7. I really like them on other people (including you, obviously), but I think I'd feel a bit silly in one myself. A combination of long body and small bladder makes it a difficult choice for me...

    1. i though i'd look silly in jumpsuit, before i put one of them on.. but then i kind of liked it.. and there is still hundreds of jumpsuits that would look silly on me, it's just the matter of finding the right shape, i think

    1. thanks, mirza.. that's totally the way i try on some different silhouettes, why wasting hours sewing something, only to realize it won't look good on you.. but once you try it on, it's a different story.. i think my next jumpsuit would be pants version with tiny sleevess top and bold graphic print (tried similar one in zara store the other day)

  15. This is the best version of the pattern I have ever seen. And by the way, the pictures you take make me want to visit Serbia one day.

    1. thanks for the lovely words :) and i should probably try shooting at some location that represents serbia a little bit better, i always seem to choose bushes or some hidded corners where i can take pics alone, without feeling awkward

  18. I love your jumpsuit!! I didn't really like jumpsuit before but this summer I feel like making one or two. They're very cute (even if you're right, quite uncomfortable!).
I'll remember your tip about elastic at the neckline to prevent gaping ;)
